We have already received several generous donations from people in East Anglia to support the work of our partners in Sierra Leone and Liberia. But as the crisis is rapidly escalating. With 1.3 million people in the region likely to be infected by Christmas, we need to increase our efforts to help prevent the disease spreading.
While we are not explicitly calling on all parishes to hold a special collection, however we are offering parishioners, and parishes who which to respond collectively, a practical way to help those who are in the danger zone in Sierra Leone and Liberia where CAFOD is working.
