Ethiopian Stations

The Stations of the Cross are designed to help us reflect on the Passion of Jesus Christ in our lives. They may also help us reflect more deeply on how poverty and suffering in developing countries challenge us to respond to our faith in the Cross.

They can be used in different ways. We can use them as we walk round the stations in church, allowing the people of Ethiopia to help us reflect on the Way of the Cross.

The stations in this Way of the Cross are taken from a publication by SCIAF in 2010. CAFOD has been working in Ethiopia since the early 1970’s and today we continue our work in close partnership with SCIAF and Trocaire – our Caritas partners from Scotland and Ireland – and with partners in Ethiopia including the Adigrat Diocesan Catholic Secretariat.
