St Laurence Primary School host the start of Stage 18 of the Tour de Fred

St Laurence’s Primary School

On Tuesday 25 June, Fred arrives at St Laurence’s Primary School at 9:15am. He leads their assembly at 9:30 and will share the experiences he gained from his cycling challenge. Fred will then leave, cycling a couple of laps around the grounds with pupils who have their bikes at school, before heading out of Cambridge towards Northampton diocese.

The week before – National Bike Week – in preparation for Fred’s arrival, pupils from St Laurence’s Primary School will have cycled 30 miles in solidarity with Fred and with the thousands of people who go to bed hungry at night, not knowing where or when they will get their next proper meal. Mary Watkins (school volunteer) and Stephen Matthews are visiting the pupils at St Laurence at 10:30am on Tuesday 18 June to join them for their assembly. Mary and Stephen will talk to them about Fred’s challenge set them off on their own challenge.
