The Feast of Corpus Christi

Year of Faith LogoThe Feast of Corpus Christi goes back to the 13th century, but it celebrates something far older: the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion at the Last Supper.

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven, says the Lord; whoever eats this bread will live forever.” – John 6:51

It is traditional that a novena (nine days of prayer) is said before or after the feast of Corpus Christi. Here we will be celebrating the feast and praying over the next nine days, between the feast of Corpus Christi and the Walk of Witness on June 8 as part of the Big IF Event.
