Year 8 students design new CAFOD images

Notre dame glass             Finished 1

Pupils from Notre Dame High School in Norwich have been commissioned by CAFOD East Anglia to create four pieces of artwork to highlight our work.

A group of 16 students, led by art teacher Mary Nobes worked to create four beautiful stained glass pieces.

The year 8 pupils were divided into 4 groups, each group carrying out initial research by looking at images from the developing world and put together written pieces on what CAFOD meant to them.

Each of the four groups chose a specific image and sketched the design, before bringing the images to life with bright and colourful paints.

The finished artwork is currently on display in the school chapel at Notre Dame High School.
